We celebrate Jesus’ presence each week in Holy Communion. This is the Lord’s Supper and it is Jesus who invites us. Whether you are a lifelong Lutheran, or just considering Christianity; if your family has been in the United States for generations, or has only recently arrived; if you are LGBTQIA+ or straight; if you live with disabilities, chronic illness, or are able-bodied and currently healthy; if you are home-blessed or homeless, you...yes, YOU!...are welcome at God’s table of grace at Our Saviour.

Come as you are - some folks wear their Sunday best, others wear jeans and t-shirts! We have Coffee Hour in the lobby starting at 8:30 am. and Pr. Kyle drinks coffee during the worship service! When you first pull into our driveway, it sometimes looks like the place is empty. That's because our parking lot and entrance are back behind the building.
MEET our pastor
Rev. Dr. Kyle Johnson
Pr. Kyle Johnson is pastor at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Lansing, Illinois. He was ordained as a pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America following his graduation with a Master of Divinity degree from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago.

Pastoral ministry is a second career for Pr. Kyle. He holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in organ performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance, where he studied with John Ditto. He also holds music degrees from Indiana University and Bethany College (Lindsborg, KS), where he studied organ with Larry Smith and Pamela Ruiter-Feenstra, respectively. Johnson has taught at four colleges and universities.

Johnson has performed organ recitals and hymn festivals across the United States, led organ masterclasses and choral workshops, and shared lectures on his experience conducting seldom-heard cantatas, requiems, and other larger works accessible to the average volunteer church choir. His publishing activity has centered on church choral and organ music, including commissioned works. His compositions may be found at kylejohnsonmusic.com.
